Vile Swarm
Description
All life must eventually meet death, whether it’s a mortal creature with natural decomposition breaking down skin and bones, or an undead vampire who rots slowly from inside a perfect frame. You know this better than most; drawn to the creatures that feed off of death and mortal decay, you may invite them inside you to feast, knowing that they will thank you by inviting you to their swarm in return.
System
First, prepare a collection of beetles, blowflies, maggots, or other carrion insects that amasses to approximately the size of your head. You must then spend a full twenty minutes slowly consuming these bugs, swallowing them whole while they are still alive. While this ritual lies dormant inside your body your aura is not stained with infernal taint. However, you feel the creatures moving about inside you and eating their fill; you lose one point of blood every hour healing the hundreds of tiny wounds they cause.
To trigger the effects of this ritual, you may spend your simple action expelling the consumed swarm from your mouth, triggering the ritual to dissolve your physical form into a mass of similar carrion as you join with your swarm. You can remain part of the Vile Swarm for up to one hour, during which you can fly at twice your normal movement speed and squeeze through small cracks. While in this form, your aura displays the telltale signs of infernalism, but any damage done to you is reduced to 1 for each incoming attack. You may not benefit from any minor or major transformative powers while part of the Swarm, but you do gain a +3 wild card bonus to your dodge pool.
You may only trigger this effect once per casting, and you may only hold one Swarm within you at any one time. From the Swarm, you may return to your physical form at any time using a simple action. Once released, the insects fly away freely, and you may not return to this form without casting the ritual again. You must expel the swarm before you sleep for the day to avoid being eaten from the inside.
