Playing the Curse **of Note** These Derangements are not an occasional inconvenience for your character; they are an integral part of their character and should be treated as such. From the moment your character underwent his First Change, this affliction has been part of their life. Indeed, many Silver Fangs refuse to acknowledge their mental quirks as illnesses, but maintain that they are part of who they are and a mark of Luna’s favor. Ironically, that is the exact opposite of the truth. The Derangement should be so much a part of the way you roleplay the character that your fellow players should only really be consciously aware that it is a Derangement when it kicks into high gear in times of stress. Even those Derangements which specify that they only really take hold in traumatic situations, like Fugue, can be incorporated into a character by giving him a tendency to let his attention wander easily and a habit of zoning out every now and again at noncritical moments. A few of the Derangements, like Multiple Personalities and Schizophrenia will have a profound effect on how well the character functions.
